Spring Cleaning

It can still count as that if it’s a year after the cleaning was planned, right?

Oof, it’s been a year, hasn’t it? Somehow the past year-plus has felt both like it’s taken forever but also like every minute has been crammed too full, all at the same time.

Indeed, I had actually intended to do something with my website last year, but that all got derailed, obviously, and then getting it back on the rails ended up a Herculean task. I think all of us have faced challenges this past year, and hopefully we’re all allowing ourselves to be human and not machines and thus, things happen when they happen, not necessarily when we thought, planned, or hoped they would happen.

Much like some sort of hibernating animal, I’ve found myself easing into a more normal routine the past few months, and this website is one result of that. I confess, I am not that enthused about working on websites. I do it, but I don’t like it. (i.e., there may have been some procrastination involved. … And that may or may not be part of why my website often languishes for long periods of time, gathering dust.) It’s been fun to redesign things, though, adding some creative elements and updating things to look fresh and new.

For those of you wondering, yes, I am still writing… just not making as much progress as I would like right now. Some people have found the past year to be great for their creativity and productivity. … I am not one of those people. [shrug] But I am still writing, and I’m still working on the next books for both Neeghan and Erin, and I wish I could tell you when they’ll be done and available for you to read, but alas, I cannot. As soon as I have something concrete to share, I will let you know. I have lots of ideas bubbling around in my mind, so I’m ready to jump in and get back to serious work again. Thank you so much to all of you who have sent such encouraging notes to me and to all of you who have been so patient and understanding when I know it is remarkably difficult to wait. (Ugh, waiting…) Wish me fast typing fingers!
